Meet Marilyn

Nicknames: Goone, Mare Mare Zao, Mare

Why I play volleyball: I play for the sheer love of the game, the competition of each point, and the cohesive nature of the team. I play because each day I practice puts me closer and closer to my goals and dreams. The adrenaline high I get when I play volleyball is unlike any other, and I thrive off it. I love to compete and every time I step on to the court, I want to win.

My five best volleyball attributes: Competitiveness, dedication, passion, coachability, and work ethic

When I leave college, I want to: go to work doing something I love and be really successful at it.

My sports hero's are: Jackie Robinson and Tiger Woods

I collect: memories and roses

In my off-time, I'm most likely to be found: reading a good book.

Something people would be surprised to know about me: nothing… everything I do, people would expect something like that from me.

I'm most thankful for: the everyday blessings I am given and each day that I wake up in the morning with a smile on my face.

Best book I have ever read: HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!

Favorite food: Thanksgiving dinner…

Least favorite food: Brussel Sprouts

My favorite movies: October Sky, Remember the Titans, Miracle

My favorite TV show: Gossip Girl and Heroes

My favorite music: Alternative and Classic Rock

My parents were right when they told me: Anything that was of major importance and I didn't believe them.

My favorite quotes: "Reach down your hand in your pocket, pull out some hope for me." -Matchbox Twenty, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." -Henry David Thoreau
