2005 SDA Girls Volleyball
The 2005 SDA Girls Volleyball team is a story good enough to be
made into a movie. With a fluctuating roster that includes only one
senior and as many as four freshman players, the seemingly
out-manned (out-womanned) team finds resolve and begins to coalesce
as a team.
Read how this young team evolves and starts to believe in themselves
and their skills. You'll learn about the lessons of Fanta, the
teaching of John Wooden and, most importantly, the transformation of
a group of individual girls on a team into a group that is a team.
Even with the remarkable strides the team is making, you can't help
look forward to next season when virtually the entire team returns.
This site, complete with soundtrack, follows their weekly
adventures, as told through the "Lesson of Fanta," a symbolic award
given to a true team player. Hey... Is anyone from Hollywood
