OhMiGawd- Just so you know.
The Ride That Pony site is not in anyway affiliated with the San Dieguito
Academy.
Any satire that appears here is, umm, well, hmmm, err... satire.
The "we don't ride no funky pony no more" volleyball girls
finished the season 20-13, or about three times the number of wins I
would have predicted. The great news is that almost every player is
back for next season. Get
your pony on...

Kim Frost (Volleyball Team Mom - a thankless task, you know) also put together a
varsity food schedule
(updated version #1,358) for the varsity
so all the athletes can be pampered and prepared. Betsy Vaughn (JV1
Team Mom - how, and why, does she do it?) created the JV1 food schedule
here. This includes home games and tournaments. The JVII food
schedule is here (Sherri Braski was voted the JVII
mom when she wasn't at the first meeting).

Ride That Pony - The Saga of the
Dance
Imagine if an angel came down to you and said, "I have a gift
for your daughter. For three minutes she will experience uncontrolled joy,
living in the moment and complete happiness." What would you say? No? You would
ask what you had to do to allow your daughter to live that feeling. All of us
want our daughters to find something they love, something they are passionate
about, something that is good for them.
So why would we prevent them from enjoying three minutes of cheering? Do we all
need to go back and study on "how to be a good parent?"
Our ladies-of-peas, go back to work after being
eliminated from the play-offs.

Little known SDA statistic. Kayla, with her first yellow

card list, trailing only Dexter by 37 yellow cards.
Record: San Dieguito Academy 1-0.
Some thought the match ended in a bad call.
A lively discussion between the Grossmont coach and the
referee ensued after the match. Many of the SDA players were
stunned to find that there was a coach who yelled more at
the ref than Dexter.
Preseason Scrimmages: Well, the varsity scrimmages went fairly well. While no one was
suppose to keep score, a certain team mom did, and it appears that
SDA was about 75% of the scrimmages. Wahoo.

September 12, 2007 Kenzie Aries was named one of the
Top 25 Volleyball Players in North San
Diego County.
If your daughter is overly athletic, hustles after balls and jumps a lot, you should consider having her wear ankle braces, or at least, high-tops. Even coach Dexter-san wears high tops and look at how many games he gets in to. Kenzie has tried almost every brand of ankle brace, including the easy to put on Active Ankles (they offer just average to poor support). The best ones we have found are the Axis Ankle - they are about $20 per ankle brace
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/satorsoccer/axanstab.html.
They are highly stable, easy to wash and are the best, by a wide margin, of all ankle braces we tested.
CIF PLAY-OFFS. Mustangs win in
quarterfinal play by beating San Marcos and semifinal play by
beating LA Jolla, then fell to Cathedral Catholic. In the state
playoffs game against
Rancho Santa Margarita SDA lost finishing 9th in the state of
California.
