CIF PLAY-OFFS. Mustangs win in quarterfinal play by beating San Marcos and semifinal play by beating LA Jolla, then fell to Cathedral Catholic. In the state playoffs game against Rancho Santa Margarita SDA lost finishing 9th in the state of California.

2006 Varsity Volleyball Match Results MUSTANGS WIN 2006 LEAGUE!   QUARTERFINALS: Who's the knight in shining armor? 11-9-06: San Marcos @ SDA. The Mustangs beat the Knights in the CIF volleyball quarterfinals. San Dieguito Academy defeated San Marcos 25-14, 25-15, 25-18. Leanne Stennett 14 kills, 6 digs; MacKenzie Aries 41 assists, Vanessa Beach 5 blocks. Next game: Semifinals against La Jolla. SEMIFINALS: Can you dig it? 11-14-06:  La Jolla invaded the San Dieguito Academy gymnasium. In the past, The  Vikings were scrappy and were digging everything. The home town girls were scrappier and dug everything back... San Dieguito Academy beat the La Jolla 25-14, 20-25, 25-17, 25-22 SAN DIEGUITO ACADEMY - Leanne Stennett 15 kills; Gia Kobara 9 kills; MacKenzie Aries 35 assists 27-7 official record. October 10, 2006 Leanne Stennett Volleyball San Dieguito Behind Stennett, the Mustangs (14-5) finished fourth in the La Jolla Beach City Invitational. Stennett, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter and all-tournament pick, is part of a San Dieguito squad that already has topped its win total of last year.

And on October 12, 2006, the North County Times named Leanne Stennett and Kenzie Aries as Athletes of the Week.

2005 SDA Girls Volleyball

The 2005 SDA Girls Volleyball team is a story good enough to be made into a movie. With a fluctuating roster that includes only one senior and as many as four freshman players, the seemingly out-manned (out-womanned) team finds resolve and begins to coalesce as a team. Read how this young team evolves and starts to believe in themselves and their skills. You'll learn about the lessons of Fanta, the teaching of John Wooden and, most importantly, the transformation of a group of individual girls on a team into a group that is a team. Even with the remarkable strides the team is making, you can't help look forward to next season when virtually the entire team returns.

This site, complete with soundtrack, follows their weekly adventures, as told through the "Lesson of Fanta," a symbolic award given to a true team player. Hey... Is anyone from Hollywood reading?
